Magnificent frontal close-up with the coot swimming towards you. Exceptional focus and dof with a brilliant reflection. Outstanding job Pete! TFS!

Wow. This is superb. It's fascinating how water behaves sometimes, an expert in fluid mechanics could explain it, but meanwhile the image is just beautiful to look at. Excellent work with the exposure, and including the red eye. This can be quite a tricky species to photograph well.

PS: I started to draft a comment yesterday, but got sidetracked halfway through a word. Today the incomplete draft was still here... not sure if I unintentionally posted it!
