This image was taken late in the afternoon in December when the weather was as grey and gloomy as today. I was walking round a lake which is right in town within the mandatory one-kilometre perimeter from my home (lockdown rules at the time) when I saw a few cormorants perched on a tree branch that had fallen into the lake. There were also great crested grebes but too far out in the middle of the lake to be photographed.
