Thanks Nora... it's not coconut in the shell, but suet (or fat). They are very popular with the birds.

The birds love these, but that isn't coconut in there. The empty shells have been filled with fat or suet (this one I think is suet with some seeds in it).

One way to re-cycle coconut shells LOL.

Hi KC.... the coconut shells have been filled with fat or suet. I guess someone thought of the idea after eating the original contents, and wild bird food suppliers have run with it. A good way to recycle the shells, isn't it LOL.
