Stunning capture of this Short-eared Owl Paul, congratulations. Tfs.

The truth is, Donald, I did absolutely nothing to earn that picture and it's wasted on me. I like owls in the way I like all birds and an owl wouldn't rank in my top 50. Given a choice between seeing a dunnock perched out on a branch singing and an owl sat in a tree, I'd take the singing dunnock every time. I was actually looking for one of the grasshopper warblers and sort of bumped into the owl. 'A shame it happened for me and not someone who really likes owls.

WOW, really outstanding close-up of this gorgeous owl. Excellent focus, colors, feather detail, eye contact, setting, and composition. Impressive Paul! TFS!
