Blue-winged Warbler
This species is an uncommon migrant along the Texas coast. This one appears to be an adult male with bright yellow face and strongly contrasting eyeline. Females are similar, but generally duller overall. Blue-winged Warblers are edge specialists, preferring to nest near clearings and fields along forest edges. As forests continue to be cleared for agriculture or development, Blue-winged Warblers have expanded their breeding range northward.
Location
Goose Island State Park, Rockport, Texas, USA.
Date taken
18 April 2021
Scientific name
Vermivora cyanoptera
Try as I might, I can't see any blue on the wings. He is a lovely vibrant colour though, Joseph.

Really missing my fix of warblers as no travel this spring. Your image of a Blue-wing brings back soooo many memories of past trips!
