You know how SF pictures usually go - bird hops out of frame or out of focus just when you click the shutter button. Well, on this week's mid-week bird walk, just the day before yesterday, the exact opposite happened. In the midst of a series of near-missed attempts at shots of a busy family of Goldcrests, here was one shot where one of them hopped INTO frame and focus right as I clicked the button, and the Goldcrest looks just as surprised as I was :D Now that's surely a once-in-a-lifetime experience, even if the bird is common enough and I've got better shots of one before.
