Vermilion Flycatcher
I couldn't resist posting another picture of this species. This male posed so nicely that at first I thought it was a mounted ornament. This is presumably the race "P. r. mexicanus" ranging from South Central Texas through Mexico. Males are characterized by darker back and deeper red underparts without much orange mottling. Most recently the population on the Galapagos has been split as the Brujo Flycatcher (Pyrocephalus nanus).
Location
Neal's Lodges, Concan, Texas, USA.
Date taken
14 April 2021.
Scientific name
Pyrocephalus rubinus
Great capture of a beautiful fire head! I'm blessed to have them year round locally here in the high desert of So Cal. Nice work! TFS! :)

its really stunning and please next time don't hesitate to send as much shots as possible of this beauty.

I’m glad you couldn’t resist! A fantastic portrait, Joseph.
