Himalayas - 616 : Plumbeous Water-redstart- lovely action call- Amazing Wildlife of India by Renu Tewari & Alok Tewari (Phoenicurus fuliginosus)

A denizen of the
high ... fast flowing
Himalayan Streams ...

Usually seen at the
altitudes between
6600 ft to 13500 feest
during summer ... may
come down to lower
altitudes during
winters ... but
surprisingly we have
found a pair breeding
at an altitude less
than 5000 feet where
this male was recorded
...

A male seen here
showing his prized
possession ... and
a female was
nearby ...

What nice footage! I'm sure this is very impressive if you're a Redstart, but all I can think is "oh, how cute".

A great video of this beautiful Water Redstart A and R. Such a tiny beak for a water bird.

Wow, love that fancy tail action and colors. I sure looks like it was showing off the the two of you. Exceptional footage Renu & Alok! TFS!
