serendipity ... to
get the top
wing-view of
this amazing bird ...

Light ...
was a dream
Here ...
So were colors
And ...
... Bird
Nearly mythical

It was sitting
partially hidden ...
and ... then
... suddenly
took off ... and tried
to catch a thermal
... on that fabulous
well lit and gradually
warming winter day ...

In the process showing
views of those classic
barn-door wings ...
.. as it banked and
soared high ...
