Common Basilisk also known as the Jesus Christ Lizard (Basiliscus basiliscus: Corytophanidae) Adult male, species sexually dimorphic.Youngsters can run 10-20 m on water but as they get to be adults they grow much larger and can only manage a few meters before sinking, then they swim. Along Ro Tigre near the town of Dos Brazos de Ro Tigre, Puntarenas Province, Costa Rica.
Habitat
Riverine, Pacific secondary rain forest at ca. 130 m (427 ft) elevation.
