Common Fiscal (Shrike) (Lanius collais)

The Common Fiscal is indeed common in villages and towns in Liberia. It often perches on roadside power lines; hence the local name "Electric Bird". Fortunately this bird chose a low lookout perch where there was no backlighting, and the yellow blossoms nearby seemed to complete the picture.
