Common Gallinule (Gallinule galeata galeata) At the edge of floating and emergent vegetation. The floating vegetation is Mosquito Fern also called Water Fern (Azolla filiculoides: Salviniaceae), Water Lettuce (Pistia stratiotes: Araceae) with the emergent vegetation being Water Primrose (Ludwigia sp.: Onagraceae).

Habitat
Large open pond with aquatic vegetation along its margins with lowland riparian forest to the edge of Ro de la Plata at ca. 25 m (82 ft) elevation.
Location
Costanera Sur Ecological Reserve, Buenos Aires, Buenos Aires Province, Argentina.
