Common Grackle (Quiscalus quiscula)

As the name suggests, a pretty common bird. But one I rarely get a close look at or visiting my feeders. When they do come, they're extremely shy and easily panicked. I had to take this at full zoom, through a window, standing well back in the shadows of the room. I didn't want to scare him off, and wanted him to get a bite of food. He only stayed for a moment then was gone.

You did a great job through that window Bill. The grackles sure are beautiful with the iridescent blue.l

Couldn't have timed it any better Bill. A great head turn and colourfully detailed capture, well done.
