Common Green Magpie

Common Green Magpie (Cissa chinensis)

Taken from a blind. Anyone knows if this is an older bird because of the bluish plumage? According to Robson's guide they turn blue as they age.

Can't help you out with the age question, but regarless of how old it is, it's a fantastic looking bird and a great photo!
Perhaps you could post it in the forums? Someone might be able to help you.
Great shot by the way:t:

LOL what a lovely soggy bird that is. A great picture Jack.

Thanks to all for viewing and encouragement. And yes, Opus database says the green can 'bleach out' and turn blue. Now I got to go find out what causes 'bleach out'.
