Lovely detail in this beautiful iamge. The blue gleaming through those tail feathers is gorgeous. ~~ LOL about sometimes the long lens being too long, I know exactly what you are talking about. I've had great trouble getting any Blue Jay shots this year because the perches are all too close for the larger birds. I'm still trying to figure out how to get the Jays to land a bit farther away.
