Common kestrel (Falco tinnunculus)

I think this is a young male. He was a plucky little character and gave a local raven a bit of jip. The raven decided to scarper.
Habitat
Hill side
Location
Holcombe moor
Date taken
13th September 2008
Scientific name
Falco tinnunculus
Equipment used
Canon 40D Sigma 500 f4.5
I wonder about the raven. Here I have seen the ravens chasing away even the pelicans.
NIce composition and colors.

He looks a tough little devil Adrian. Maybe we should call him Rocky to fit in with his surroundings. :t:

A loud  for the determined Kestrel and another one to you for the beautiful picture of our hero! ;) I love how you got it about to fold the wings! :bounce: Beautiful!!! :loveme:

He looks as though he might be thinking of going after you next, Adrian! :'D It's a splendid image, I love the pose and expression!
