Common kestrel (Falco tinnunculus)

I think this is a young male. He was a plucky little character and gave a local raven a bit of jip. The raven decided to scarper.

This is a really beautiful and unusual image of a Kestrel. The colours, setting, background and lighting are superb and the bird is razor sharp so into Favourites it goes.
