Common kestrel

Common kestrel (Falco tinnunculus)

I took a visit to Holcombe Hill last Saturday in the hope of getting stonechat and kestrels. Sadly when the day had nearly ended and the stonechat arrived, my camera went on the blink and is now in for repair. To make matters worse my computer went on the blink too and had to be repaired. I lost many files and I am presently without Adobe.

The army were shooting on a nearby range and a lot of the birds cleared the area. The kestrels were not bothered and this one was particularly gutsy holding its ground against the local corvids and gave me some great entertainment.
