Common Loon (Gavia Immer)

Recently, my husband and I spent a few days in the Algonquin Provincial Park, and while there I photographed this loon during an afternoon of caneoing on Canoe Lake. My husband is quite adapt at imitating these birds and by doing so, he managed to lure this loon quite close to our canoe. In this photo, the loon is approx. 4-5 ft. from the canoe. This is also the original photo from the camera, untouched.
