Common Snipe
Saturday morning 3 Snipe were right in front of the hide at Lemsford Springs but I hadn't taken my camera. Today they were steadily coming back in - until all of a sudden the Green Sands went up then the ducks started moving and finally the Snipe bolted - just before a sprawk had one! Got a reasonable shot of his backside too ;)

Thrilling to watch though!

The warden netted and ringed a Jack Snipe there Sunday evening - beautiful little bird!
