Common Tern

Common Tern (Sterna hirundo)

These Common Terns feed their young in flight. The juveniles are waiting for mom or dad to bring the fish, all the time squealing and shouting.
This pic is from the road through the IJsselmeer, where lots of young Terns sit on the poles of fishing nets. Also lots of Black Terns around from a large breeding colony nearby.
