Common Wood Pigeon
My computer doesn't seem to have packed up after all. I restored the system to a date before the last Windows Update, and bingo all seems well, touch wood. Thanks very much, Delia, for mentioning you'd had problems from that Update.

With that out of the way, here's a Woodpigeon demonstrating the special ability of pigeons to drink by sucking up water: most birds drink by scooping it up in their lower mandible and tilting their head back to swallow it (which you knew anyway).
