A fascinating and useful comparison shot Cristian. I have no trouble picking out Mediterranean Gulls in their summer plumage but it is much more difficult in the winter. The differences show up really well in this image. Nice one.

Wow, this is brilliant Cristian! Beautiful image quality with great sharpness and clarity with superb dof. This makes comparison easy, they are clearly different but the differences are subtle. I can see how this could be tricky if you did not have both species in the field at the same time. Thanks for sharing this priceless picture!!!
