Consolation prize

Consolation prize (Dendrocopos major)

Two days later I drove to the far end of the city's reservoir and up the hill there to a feeder area. I keep going back there since word has it that it's a reliable place to see Siberian Jays. But I've yet to see any, there or elsewhere :S Oh well. This Great Spotted Woodpecker dropped in as a consolation prize.

Sorry I've been off line for a few days. Been frantically working on finishing a quilt. Almost done now, just the names etc. to embroider on the back. I should be able to catch up browsing after I've run some errands in the morning.
