Cooper's Hawk (Accipiter cooperii)

This juvenile Cooper's Hawk glared at me, no doubt looking for the same small birds I was searching for, but with a different objective in mind. Their diet consists mostly of small birds. Notice the rusty feather fringing, graduated white tail tip and forward facing eyes which help distinguish this species from the smaller Sharp-shinned Hawk.

That's a superb pose to capture Joe and some great detail you've provided too.

An excellent picture lad - very well done my friend.
