Coot (Fulica atra)

It must have been very busy for mummy Coot, going back and forth with her choice of material for building a nest besides the river bank. There were some other Coots around and they would get into a fight with a lot of cacophony, and splashing of river water.... Thanking you

I think this one was doing some weaving looking at the length of that. Do you get these in Singapore?

Hi Marmot, we call them Eurasian Coots, they are very rare accidental visitors to Singapore, one mounted specimen collected in 1924, another in 1940, individuals sighted 1983, and two birds in 1988, so far no further records.
