This was photo was taken during a rather amazing yet frustrating situation. I was walking my dog, spotted Barny up ahead, crouched down, switched on my camera in preparation, camera battery went from 2 bars to 1 bar and then died, Barny started flying over to myself and my dog, Barny kept coming, closer and closer. I decided to try my luck with my dead camera so switched it back on, took a burst of picks as Barny flew right up to us hovered over us for 30 seconds and then flew off! Unfortunately my camera died again just as he was at his closest- but still an amazing experience. I am not sure what Barny thought we were, but he was definitely coming to check us out, they usually fly a safe distance past me once they've seen me. I like to think that he was perhaps admiring my rainbow gloves- which looked great teamed up with my camouflage coat! ;)
