Curlew calling

Curlew calling (Numenius madagascariensis)

Each day sees more and more Waders from the N. Hemisphere down at the Point and local Wetlands. Next month Sept should see a real influx. My battle with the local Council is ongoing regarding not enforcing the " Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times " law down at the Point. The majority of dog owners obey the local laws but unfortunately there are still some that seem to take great delight in letting their Pooch chase the Waders which need to feed and fatten up at low tide ready for the return journey next year.

Some people are just plain irresponsible Ken, good luck, you'll probably need it. Cracking shot here, perfect timing and the excellent light has brought out the wonderful detail. Super capture.
