Curlew in the Mud (Numenius arquata)

Had a brilliant few brilliant days down in Norfolk. The weather was very cold but we enjoyed our stay there. Managed to see a quite a few different species. Will catch up with you all later.

They really love such places, don't they. He's even got mud right up to his nostrils.

Splendid shot Donald. Super bird, mud and all!! (My wretched yellow labrador leapt in the mud pond this morning, only he wasn't yellow any more, black from top to tail and smelly)
