Dark Cattle Egret on a later date (Bubulcus ibis)

I have uploaded another picture of this bird taken about two month ago. In the meantime, the head and much of the neck have turned white!

It would have to be a stain that was pretty stubborn, staying in the feathers for a long time and not getting significantly paler due to sunlight but only change as the bird molts, I feel
