Dark-eyed Butterfly
Dark-eyed Butterfly (Caligo brasiliensis: Nymphalidae) Also known as the 
Brazilian Owl Butterfly. This large butterfly has a wingspan 14.5-17.0 cm (5.7-6.7 in).
Habitat
Foothills of Rincon de Vieja premontane cloud forest (pacific tropical dry forest) at ca. 780 m (2,559 ft) elevation.
Location
Tapir Valley Reserve, Bijagua de Upala, Alajuela Province, Costa Rica.
