Dark-eyed Junco (Junco hyemalis)

This was from a few days ago when I had a large flock of these birds in the garden. At one point in the afternoon there were about fifteen birds in the ornamental pond having a bath and a drink of water. I took quite a few photos but most were destined for the bin as there was a lot of action but no light = blurry photos.

Just so lovely Deanne - beautiful detail and what a delightful setting! :t::t::t:

I love the composition of this shot! The colours and setting are so natural! Well done!

We've had a small flock of these 'winter' birds visiting our garden these past few weeks, but they are fairly skittish and I haven't been able to get a good capture yet. I'm having fun trying though. :)

Plus, they are constantly moving their dang heads which make for blurry beaks. This shot is exceptional Deanne and I love your pond.

Mine arrived on Saturday but I haven't taken a look at an of my shots yet. Probably all destined for the bin as well ;)

Ooooooooooooooh!!! Breathtaking quality of image, Deanne, and a drop-dead gorgeous stony composition!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :loveme:

Can be taken something better than this??????? :eek!:
