Dark-Eyed Junco (Junco hyemalis)

I can't remember a November, in California, that has been this warm. There has not been one day that was below 70 deg., and many that were above 80 deg. It's depressing ( I know there are many thinking that one man's lament is anothers wish). I don't know if this is a record but I intend to look it up on the USGS data base of climactic averages for California. The birds and animals are confused. Got fewer of some of the migriants that should be here, and more of the migrants that should'nt. Wierd

Lovely Junco. Looks different than the ones I see here (Ontario). Hey, how did you make your 100-400 @f 4.0 :) I'd like to know that trick!

The Oregon Junco does look quite different from our Slate-coloured variety. And you captured him beautifully! Superb detail! :t:

A beautiful portrait with a lovely background!
It's been grey and miserable here for what seems like ages. I'd welcome cold weather, snow and sunshine.

Two sweet shots Mark, love this un buddy, great catchlight, nice work.

Gorgeous image of this beauty! Lovely setting and pose.

The weather here is like a yo-yo, one morning it will be 18 degrees out and the next 45! Either very warm or very cold for the season but not where it should be.
