demoiselle crane (Grus virgo)

(Grus virgo)
Year after year, this small village of Khichan (Rajasthan/India) is home to thousands of migratory Demoiselle cranes during the Winter months .
The villagers have demarcated a feeding space and contribute towards the cost of bird-feed..this has been going on since the 1970's (i do not know the exact year)
The number of birds is overwhelming.
