Demoiselle cranes walking among the cattles (Anthropoides virgo)

Though there are few birds during most of the time in Great Gobi, large flocks of demoiselle cranes will have a stop-over in Bayantooroi, the headquarter of Great Gobi Strictly Protected Areas, for a very short time every autumn and spring. It is amazing to see so many large birds fill the otherwise deserted dry steppe!
