Diademed Tapaculo
A lovely and well-named tapaculo, which gave us great views just by a little creek, in the exact same spot where we also had a pair of Puna Tapaculos!
Habitat
Treeline stunted forest (3500 masl)
Location
Sina, Puno, Peru
Date taken
Aug 24, 2024
Scientific name
Scytalopus schulenbergi
A superb photograph! As all birds I am unfamiliar with I did a quick search. It seems in habit to be a bit nervous and possibly hard to locate. In any case I am a fan of this well composed picture!
