Differences
Interesting. Only noticed this when I was looking through the folder for the next upload.

The closer Mallard has a whitish bill and a much greyer back than the other. Wonder what's going on there.

All the images are the same as they move across the water, so I don't think it's the light.

Doesn't appear to be a hybrid but who knows if it is a result of hybridization from generations behind. Nicely noticed and beautifully captured D!

A beauty of a detailed double and blue water Delia, lovely job and many tfs and I think I have seen one before with a pale bill like this one.
 
Very well observed Delia we do seem to see variations in the Mallard. They still are a very handsome duck and often neglected as a species for photographers .

interesting photo, Delia!!! I have the impression that part from the colour the shape of the bill is also slightly different, probably as KC mentions must have some hybridization in its genes. top notch job, many tfs!!!
