Dipper hunting

I know this is not a conventional bird image and I don't know if they should be shown but this is the type of image I try to take and the reason I keep going back for more. I take a lot of behavior images but the bird image police have a very narrow view of what is good vs bad.

LOL Peter I love it... a perfect image for Saturday (you may not have noticed the Saturday Fun theme)

.... and Dippers are my favourite birds, which I normally get real rubbish pictures of! This one is great - I love the water movement and the way you can just see his face through the hole!

Nice work lad.

We don't really have 'image police' here... just for nest and non-wild creatures. Behaviour shots are always welcome... and some may find their way to the Opus pages too.

I think this is delightful! Watching behaviour is the aspect of birding I find most fascinating, so I love behaviour images and this one is spectacular with all that water action and the super-sharp focus. Well done

WOW!! That is a great shot!! perfect timing.....I consider the Dippers one of the most difficult to get a really outstanding shot.....like yours!!
