Dipper on a dim day

Dipper on a dim day (Cinclus cinclus)

Again, dim light, but some of these shots turned out ok ... sort of. Still a long ways to the level of, say, Digiscoper's dipper shots. I'll just have to keep practicing.
Habitat
river
Location
Nidelven, below the falls
Date taken
10 Oct 2014
Scientific name
Cinclus cinclus
Equipment used
fz200 +2.2
Dim light and bridge cameras don't mix well. Believe me I know!! But your FZ200 does a lot better in low light than my Fuji low end bridge would. Another nice capture.

.... and I need a better camera/waders and the strength to clamber over rocks:-O Even then I'd never get shots as good as his!

You've lovely feather detail on this guy Ann. Very well done lass.

hi ann.not just the light will effect this capture but the water reflection too and as you know i got a new bridge a panasonic and it is very good in low light but exposure plays a big part too.so when i dont get a capture of a bird i would have liked too i play around with my exposure if it is quite sedantry on the spot i missed it to get the settings right and hope next time i will get it.still learning but hope this helps as i do not know what i am talking about in camera terms only mine.all the best margaret.
