DIY Monopod. Chestnut-headed bee-eater (Merops leschenaulti)

I started today with a plan. Look for a sturdy fallen branch and snap it to about the height of my chin.
It didn't take long and when I had the chance I rested the lens on the top and took some pics. I can't believe the difference it made.
I brought the stick home and have since sanded it down for a nice walking grip and zip tied parts of an old inner tube to the foot to prevent wear and to the top to rest the camera.
I was looking at a $130 carbon fibre monopod but I reckon I can use this for a good while.
