Doc Duck in Bucharest (Homo sapiens)

The weather was rainy, but we saw some nice birds: blackbird, great tit, golden oriole, hobby, lesser whitethroat, common redstart, red-backed shrike, spotted flycatcher, collared flycatcher, red-breasted flycatcher, wood warbler, hooded crow.

Hi Doc, it's great to meet you. What a wonderful variety of birds you have seen today.

finally, you have no idea how much i am sooo HAPPYYYYYYY to finally see you Doc Ann, looking forward to the day i get to see you in person.

thanks CM you really made my day.

Don't forget great spotted woodpecker, syrian woodpecker, lots of house sparrows (plus at least one tree sparrow) and pigeons. Got identifiable shots of the Syrian woodpecker, wood warbler, red-backed shrike, red-breasted and spotted flycatchers, but nothing really postworthy. Just too rainy for good shots. Still ... very pretty park, four lifers in a couple of hours, and loads of extra info and good conversation - a very well spent morning |=)| Oh, and that's my starling-murmuration-at-Aberystwyth-pier shirt I'm wearing. After tea break, I collected my luggage and made my way back to the airport, got connected with my tour group, then 3 hours bus trip to Zarnesti. WiFi not all that great here, but a lovely guest house, good food, good wine, good company, and so far (touch wood) good health. Now for a good night's sleep.

great seeing ann,a woman i would love to meet in person and great birding.thanks for the extra info ann.a super post.many thanks christian.all the best margaret.
