Double-barred Finches
The first that I have ever seen in Sydney. There were a group of 3, feeding on grass seeds.

Nice capture, they look like northern form with that black spot.
Makes you wonder where the southern variant takes over since you are in Sydney.
At the moment my place (nr Hervey Bay) is overrun with them,about 50 live very close to the house and others in big mobs in the Wallum.Congrats
