Down We Go!!! (Asio flammeus)

Well folks,
We had a great time on our little South Coast jaunt, but the highlight as far as birds were concerned, was watching these two Shorties quartering the fields, a really great experience. This uns not as sharp as I would have liked, but it carries some great memories.

A beautiful, atmospheric shot of a great bird Mali. I love the sepia, monochrome effect and the way the grass comes into focus right at the bottom of the frame. Very nice.
