Downy Woodpecker (male) (Picoides pubescens)

This is, I believe, North Americas smallest woodpecker. I haven't, until now, gotten a descent image of the male. This is still not what I want but for now it will have to do...

It is the smallest - about half the size of its larger look-alike, the Hairy. This a great image! Well captured! :t:
