Downy woodpecker (Picoides pubescens)

This little lady is a newcomer to our feeders. We have other downies here, and they are totally familiar with our feeding arrangements and have no trouble at all with them. This one however, seemed very unsure around them. She also looks a bit different from the regulars. She's been here a few days now, and is getting more comfortable. Cute little woodpecker.

What a lovely new visitor to have, Bill, and what a lovely shot you got of her.

What a beautiful bird and a beautiful photo of her, wonderview !!! Thanks for sharing.

this is so lovely , love the idea of a cage for the food, my birds always make the cupcake fall down when they fight over it.
