DRAGONFLY

I was out at the Henderson Bird Viewing Preserve today and the place was alive with birds, insects, and other wildlife. I had the fortune to see many Dragonfly's and this was one of the luckiest shots of the day. I don't know how I was able to shoot this beautiful DragonFly. I have no clue which of the species this is,
Habitat
Henderson Bird Viewing Preserve
Location
Las Vegas, Nevada
Date taken

Equipment used
Canon T5 70-300 mm with Tanoran 2x Teleconvertor
Nice shot, so glad you were able to get it. There are plenty of sites to help you ID Odonata in your state. I'm guessing by the body proportions you have a skimmer of some variety, if that helps you narrow down the search.

Thank you Hollie, I found a great site and there are at least a half dozen Red DragonFly's I am going to do a lot more research and see what I come up with.
