Dream
Not the best of pictures, but for many years, I'd wanted to see these guys, ever since someone kindly sent me this information about them and how they got the name: https://www.kullillaart.com.au/dreamtime-stories/Brolga

I didn't think I'd be in the right areas to see them so was absolutely delighted when they were spotted on the approach road to Bowra.

It was the only time we saw any. Unfortunately they were rather distant and the heat was causing some haze too.

Fantastic, Delia!!! congratulations with this superb lifer. I've been three times to Australia, and unfortunately failed to see them, although they were high on the shopping list. Great photo you've got of these beauties, many tfs!!!

Congratulations on another lifer Delia, and thank you for the fascinating story. This is a very respectable and evocative image. It recalls my only sighting of Cranes, in Norfolk: they too were extremely distant and shimmered in the heat haze. It's very satisfying to get a image in such conditions, well done with this one.
