Drimmie Wood

On my way back I stopped in at Drimmie Wood for a little walk.... well it is all upwards!!;)

It was a lovely day, but I didn't see one bird.... just heard frustrating anonymous calls!

This was about half-way up the distance I did.

Upland coniferous forest
Location
Drimmie Wood, Blairgowrie, Perthshire
Date taken
22 April 2019
Equipment used
Fuji Finepix HS50, Landscape programme mode, continuous

Damn! With that setting I would have thought that the birds would be numerous in sight. A lovely patch D!

You will have heard the
Invisible Whistling Bird, D,
a species unremarked
upon in all the guides but
widespread throughout
the British Isles. Notoriously
difficult to spot, I doubt
that even our own Mali
could get a shot of it.
However, somewhere in
your picture smugly it sits.
Singing.
