DSCN3473.JPG Wood Duck gathering (Aix sponsa)

I bird with my grandson Guy once a week, he is in the autism spectrum, but this activity fascinates the boy. All around us is frozen unless the water flows or is spring fed, such as where we travelled to. He spotted this flock of 13 Wood Duck in a very small ditch and was excited, as was I. I attempted to gather as many as I could. This day at this small wildlife area there must have been at 100 or more, a treat for us

Stunning eye-level close-up of this most beauty drake. Brilliant image quality and clarity with striking colors. Exquisite Gregg! TFS!

Beautiful capture of these beautiful ducks Gregg...I'm sure birdwatching is very theraputic for the lad, well done to both of you.
