DSCN5484.JPG Moutain Cottontail (Slyvilagus nuttallii)

It snowed 11.5 cm last Friday and almost nowhere here has caught up with plowing. I bird from a wheelchair and it has been very frustrating while there is sun. I took a gamble and located an open path finally. This Mountain Cottontail was the first thing I caught, feeding avidly on deadfall crabapples. I skipped shots of it feeding to share this interesting photograph
